Candidate for VP Education for 2025/2026 General Election

I think a main concern for SAF students right now is engagement. As VP of Education I hope to work with a team of engaged PMs that help get study guides published early. This allows the SAF community to engage with the care packages earlier and not wait for last minute postings. I think we would be able to touch more people if we were more proactive with work which is something I would prioritize in this position. Additionally, I think SAF students also have high stress levels. To ease this concern, I would work with the education team to ensure exam season is less stressful. I would work to help relieve some stress by creating tailored and new packages as well as setting timelines and dates for the PMs so they are not stressed come their busy time.

As the Deputy VP of Education and a tutor for four years, I feel extremely qualified for this position. I have always enjoyed helping people learn and feel extremely satisfied when working to help build the community and make it stronger. Additionally, I feel that learning by doing is really helpful. When curating packages or tutoring, I felt like I was improving my own academics and would love to be in this role to improve academically, which motivates me to take on this role. As a Swing Manager at McDonald’s I have taken on a leadership role in this past. I think this is great experience for the VP Education role as I have known leadership skills and would be able to head the team of first and second years to make the education packages.

I am excited to be running to be the VP of Education for the 2025-2026 school year.

As VP Education, I want to work on being proactive—getting study guides and care packages out early, so students can actually use them before the crunch time hits. By staying ahead of deadlines, we can reach more students and make the resources truly impactful.

I also know how high stress levels can get in SAF—especially during exam season. That’s why I’d work closely with the education team to ease that pressure. Whether it’s creating tailored, useful packages or setting realistic timelines for our team to avoid last-minute scrambles, I want to make this process smoother for everyone—both the students who use the resources and the PMs who help build them.

With experience as the current Deputy VP of Education and four years of tutoring I believe I am qualified to step into this role. So, vote for me if you want someone who’s organized, experienced, and ready to make education support at SAF more proactive, and helpful to reach all students.
