What do you believe are the main concerns for students in SAF right now? How would you like to approach fixing them?

I believe that the main concerns for SAF students revolve around high stress levels from having to balance school, co-op applications, extracurriculars, and more. Additionally, there is a lack of opportunities for students to de-stress and simply have fun. I hope to solve this by organizing a series of enjoyable events where students can come together, meet new people, and mingle with existing friends. These events will serve as much-needed breaks from the demanding academic environment and provide a chance for students to unwind and rejuvenate. Secondly, I recognize the importance of fostering a sense of community within SAF. By organizing activities that encourage interaction and collaboration, I aim to create a supportive environment where students can forge meaningful connections beyond their academic pursuits. A vote for me is a vote for creating a vibrant and supportive community where students can thrive both academically and personally!

Why are you running for this position? (experience, background & motivation)

I am running for the position because I have valuable experience in this role and a strong motivation to continue making a positive impact. Having previously served as the IE Deputy, I understand the responsibilities and intricacies of the position, which puts me in a prime position to leverage my experience for the benefit of SAF. One of my key strengths is my ability to lead and manage the IE team, and I navigated the challenges that arose when organizing events. Last term, under my guidance, all events were executed exceptionally well, resulting in high levels of satisfaction. Seeing the positive feedback and the enjoyment on people's faces brings me great satisfaction and reinforces my commitment to creating memorable experiences for the AFSA community. I genuinely care about the happiness and enjoyment of others, and being in this position allows me to contribute to creating an inclusive and vibrant environment.
